Family Tree, 2012
Material: Porcelain

An art installation which was made up of over 100 thin porcelain leaves, representing a family tree. The porcelain leaves, hung from the ceiling are transparent, showing clearly the intrigue details and veins of the leaves.

Each leaf had a date imprinted on the back which represented a member of my family tree and dated back to the early 1800s.

A collection of over 60 ceramic pots all glazed with vibrant and high textured, explosive glaze. Collectively the pots abstractly represent the colours, textures and size of a coral reef as well as it's decline and the impact of climate change shown through the variation of colours from vibrant to plain and almost lifeless.
